I do know that the Moongamers clan is going to have a CTF event with the mod sometime this Month. Once a date is set for that I'll let you know when and where this will happen. biggrin

New look for menu coming in v1.8: (click to enlarge)

Changed the layout a bit. Removed a few things like the Play Intro button (since it seems hardcoded to play the intro from the main game folder, since I can't change it to anything custom, I will just remove it) and also removed the campaign button since I plan no campaign support for this mod. (I would have to rework the menu files so the campaign loading screen would look correct. Not worth the effort right now)

Note the new buttons. I also changed the Join/Start buttons for SinglePlayer/Multiplayer to the big Play now button. And yes the play now button is a fully functional button and even changes color when you mouse over it. biggrin

I also altered the way the background image is displayed. I removed the bfheroes title from the background and made it a seperate menu element that is only visible in the main menu. This is so when the game transitions to the loading screen, bugs in how the background appear won't occur. (the bfhereos title replaced the dice logo that was in the bottom left corner of the menu).

The copy right text that used to be down with the dice logo was moved to the right corner and changed to BFheroes font to show the version of the mod just as how the real game shows it's version there. It's not true text however. It's just an image. But even still it won't take me much effort to update the image since it's not part of the background. So I can easily take out numbers and replace them with new ones. I have access to the bfheroes font image files. Thus I was able to make text using them. biggrin

I have ported the Soccer Ball widget recently introduced to BFheroes. I plan to include this in v1.8 when it comes out. biggrin

And you can change the outfits each month so it's allways something new...

Most of the clothing items are designed to fit the BFheroes soldier meshes. Currently do not have the soldier meshes ported. I would need someone to help rig the bfheroes soldier meshes to the BF1942 soldier skeleton. Otherwise I will have to use the vanilla meshes. Also note that kit parts do not support animated meshes so anything like shirts, boots, pants, pets, and the like would need to be addtemplated to the soldier instead.

I do plan to use a random geometry system so that players will have random kit parts and soldier parts like pets and random kit parts like certain things like helmets, backpack items, and belt items. Turbo Jet/Rippin Rocket will remain their own kit. biggrin

That soccer ball widget ported very nicely.

I think I'm gonna throw that in the Sandbox mod for BF2.

Just checked in the files... I wonder why they enabled active defense for a ball... blink

Finalized ingame HUD layout for v1.8: (click to enlarge)

Now it looks even closer to the real game's main HUD layout. Note the cchange in the ticket bar and the CP icons under the minimap. Also changed how the round time limit timer is changed. Though I have not seen a round timer used in the real game. So unless I see it show up somewhere else in the real game, this will be it's position in the mod. biggrin

Very nice, but is the level bar on the left side really needed? wink
