Are TGA files other than just opening a TGA file to edit the texture is it also a 3d type file?

Boring technical explanations alert biggrin
Yeah, tga files are just regular 2d files which support stuff like alphas (used for transparency). They have nothing to do with 3d, nor have they any info on how to wrap around models. Basically, any 2d image file can be used as a texture as long as it is supported by the rendering engine that gets you the final picture. The 3d models themselves have UV map coordinates which tell the textures how to wrap around the model, or which pixels of the 2d image fall onto which piece of the model.
The 3d artist will "unwrap" the model in an appropriate editor, similar how you would peal a piece of fruit and flatten the skin upon a flat surface. Then he renders out a template to paint the texture in e.g. Photoshop or paints it directly on the 3d model if his software supports that. smile

In /Objects/items_server.zip and /Objects/items_client.zip

EDIT: Actually, you will only find the collisionmesh files in items_server.zip no 3d models there.

I don't need friends, my computer is user-friendly.

Items_client, look for .skinnedmesh files. You need 3ds max or Zmodeler 2 to import them though (zmodeler importer is a bit crappy, and there's no exporter to BF filetypes).
