http://bfeditor.org/

That is the original site, but after it was hacked the front page no longer has the links to it or displays the normal mod of the year stats.

Here's a mirror...

Here's a picture of a DICE employee making SS with the editor.

You need Battlefield 2 to use it, but some users on the bfeditor forums found a way to install 2142 to make the editor think it was BF2 and still used it. I suppose you can do the same with Heroes but it should be even harder.

I've made a few maps with the editor, and if anyone is interested I'll show them. Porting the map from BF2 to BFHeroes is an easy process but you have to be a little experienced.

There are already some people working on a bfh map in the bf2 editor. They say it isn't that hard to make... So I'm waiting for the first community map.

Do you have any idea of how to do that?

I'm guessing you install Heroes as EA GAMES/Battlefield 2/ and then install the editor in the same directory.

You could take the advice from this thread and do the same, only with Heroes and not 2142.

Google up on how to make the editor work with BF2141, the exact same holds true to BFHeroes. BFHeroes is a updated BF2142 game engine, thus the procedure to make BF2Editor work with 2142 will be mostly the same for BFheroes. I get a bfheroes map into the editor before.

If you have BF2, all you have to do is copy BFheroes mod folder to BF2's mods folder so it appears as a mod to BF2. Now you'll have to extract all the Object archives to one location in the objects folder in the bfheroes mod and make sure the client and server files are merged so the staticobjects folder for example is just one folder and not "staticobjects_client" for example.

You'll also have to merge some con files in the map(s) you intend to edit. At minimum you must merge the InitLogic con file to the maps init.con file since the editor doesn't expect there to be a initlogic con file. There's a few other things you might need to do but at this point I am not in the mood to fully explain it. :P
