If it shows up all black it means the texture's size ain't right. It has to be same height and width as the file you are replacing (to the very last pixel). Changing the texture coord offset in the item's .con file would work too (geometryTemplate.setCoordinate X/Y), although every clothing item slot has a set max size (it's all in the Items_server.zip\ItemSettings.con). All the clothing item .tga's are "converted" into a one big .dds (texture atlas), and if the size isn't right the .tga will end up in the wrong place in that atlas, but the game will be "grabbing" the texture from the spot it should be in, making the object all black (that's the default background). Also, because of the "converting" it's impossible to make semi-transparent clothing. =( ____________________________________________
