I just imported the church from vv and ss2 in coastal clash,not very hard but i post it here.Its my first mod that i didnt got from a tutorial...

hehe nice man managed to do it aswell the funny part is if you delete all objects in the map, but still gotta found the file that loads the shadows to delete them aswell cause right now the shadows still showXD, pretty weird if there are no buildings:p

That's because the shadows are prerendered. You would not want to render static shadows every time you load the map.

surely shadows are just part of the ground texture or something? tongue

Yes and no. The shadows are part of the ground textures. But they are in textures separate from the ground textures. With BF42/BFV, the shadows are not blended in with separate textures but merged onto the main textures. But BF2 changed that. You can delete the lightmap shadows for the terrain by going to the lightmap folder and removing the tx00x00 etc files. However, unless you got elite Photoshop skills you won't beable to remove individual shadows without regenerating all the shadows. It's either no shadows or have all the shadows. If you remove a building or add a building the recommended route would be to use BF2Editor to regenerate the terrain shadows. wink
